The Assistant Store Manager is a member of the store leadership team who is responsible for
supporting the Store Manager in the associated tasks of managing the operations, performance and
income of a Good Games Retail and/or Organised Play Store.
1. Have a minimum of 12 months experience in retail, including a demonstrated ability to
lead self and others proactively. Experience as a Team Leader is highly desirable.
2. Demonstrated skill in leading excellent customer service.
3. Demonstrated interest in the basics of financial management of a store, including
appropriate rostering.
4. Excellent communication skills including the ability to manage and develop strong
relationships
5. Strong ability to work autonomously, whilst taking central direction and escalating issues
appropriately.
6. Physically fit for the following tasks (reasonable adjustments will be assessed):
6.1. Walking or standing for the majority of a shift (up to 9 hours including breaks)
6.2. Lifting boxes of stock weighing up to 15kg
6.3. Navigating staircases, at times whilst carrying boxes or items weighing up to
10kg
6.4. Repetitive hand movements associated with sorting trading card stock and
handling cash.
