About the Role

Are you passionate about providing exceptional customer service in a dynamic retail environment? We’re seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team at Good Games as a Store Manager. In this versatile role, you’ll be at the forefront of both front and back-end operations, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of our retail / organised play spaces.

As the Store Manager at Good Games Australia, you’ll be the heart and soul of our store! Your day-to-day will include making sure we open and close smoothly, and you’ll be involved in a variety of fun and fulfilling tasks, such as:

• Leading a small, passionate team: You’ll help recruit, supervise, and develop our awesome staff, making sure everyone is motivated and thriving.
• Managing inventory: You’ll keep our shelves stocked and organized, overseeing ordering, stock rotation, and merchandising to create an inviting atmosphere.
• Running in-store Organised Play programs: You’ll foster our gaming community and organise events that bring players together and keep them coming back for more.
• Marketing magic: You’ll brainstorm and execute creative marketing initiatives to promote our store and engage with our customers.

About the Role

The Assistant Store Manager is a member of the store leadership team who is responsible for
supporting the Store Manager in the associated tasks of managing the operations, performance and
income of a Good Games Retail and/or Organised Play Store.

Skills & Experience

1. Have a minimum of 12 months experience in retail, including a demonstrated ability to
lead self and others proactively. Experience as a Team Leader is highly desirable.
2. Demonstrated skill in leading excellent customer service.
3. Demonstrated interest in the basics of financial management of a store, including
appropriate rostering.
4. Excellent communication skills including the ability to manage and develop strong
relationships
5. Strong ability to work autonomously, whilst taking central direction and escalating issues
appropriately.
6. Physically fit for the following tasks (reasonable adjustments will be assessed):
      6.1. Walking or standing for the majority of a shift (up to 9 hours including breaks)
      6.2. Lifting boxes of stock weighing up to 15kg
      6.3. Navigating staircases, at times whilst carrying boxes or items weighing up to
10kg
      6.4. Repetitive hand movements associated with sorting trading card stock and
handling cash.
